The unique V-shape of the 180vl utilizes fewer parts with minimal weight and maximized reliability. There are no hinges, welds or rivets to break. The 180vl quickly cooks food and boils water using only small amounts of natural fuels including twigs, grass, pine cones & leaves. Weighing just 5.9 oz, the 180vl is the ideal survival stove. The 180vl was designed to have two load-bearing vertical sides and just two crossbars keeping the weight to a minimum while maintaining the durability and sustainability you expect from your stove. The two vertical sides provide great wind screening with adequate airflow for efficient combustion. The open end allows ample room for feeding natural fuels into the fire box without the need to remove your cookware from the flame in order to feed fuel. The 180vl is designed to interlock its parts, creating a very stable unit without moving parts which often fail in the field.
